Helping gardens come alive
We design gardens with wildlife in mind, from full wildlife-focused spaces with meadow planting, pollinator borders, wildlife ponds and small habitat areas, through to individual additions like bird boxes that make an existing garden a little more lively.
Planting will always reflect your preferences, with colours you enjoy and plants suited to the soil, position and character of your garden. Where appropriate, we also include species that are especially beneficial for bees and butterflies.

What we can include
Thoughtful additions that can help support birds, insects and other wildlife.
Pollinator-friendly planting
Planting rich in nectar and pollen can support bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects through the seasons. Carefully chosen combinations can also bring colour, softness and movement to the garden.
Bird boxes and feeding areas
Bird boxes can offer useful nesting places where natural sites are limited. Alongside suitable planting and feeding areas, they can help make the garden more supportive of birdlife throughout the year.
Meadow areas or relaxed planting
A meadow area or more relaxed style of planting can provide food and cover for pollinators and other wildlife. Managed carefully, these spaces can still feel intentional and well integrated into the garden.
Wildlife ponds and bird baths
Water is one of the most valuable additions for garden wildlife. Even a modest pond can provide drinking water, shelter and breeding habitat for a wide range of creatures, helping bring the garden to life.
Log piles and insect habitats
Piles of logs, branches and other natural materials can provide valuable shelter for insects and other small creatures. Left undisturbed, these areas can become useful miniature habitats in their own right.
Hedgehog holes in fences
Small gaps at the base of fences can help hedgehogs move safely between gardens in search of food, shelter and mates. Simple links like these can form part of a wider network of wildlife-friendly spaces.
Wildlife-friendly gardens that still feel calm and enjoyable
Supporting wildlife does not mean a garden needs to feel wild or unmanaged, unless that is the look you want.

With the right balance of planting, structure and natural materials, gardens can be even more attractive, calming and enjoyable spaces whilst also providing food, shelter and safe movement for wildlife.
“We moved to a new house where the garden was a mess of weeds and poor soil. Eco bloom transformed our garden – He worked with us to agree the best design for shade and sun and somewhere to sit and enjoy our new garden. Our small garden is now easy to manage and looks delightful”
